If you're going to load a save, make sure you choose the right 'name' from your saved games. You can still type messages to each other when the game is paused by pressing whichever key is assigned as the 'Chat' key in your key configuration. When either the host or a client pauses the game, it affects everyone in that current game until that player unpauses the game. Multiplayer saves will not be seen in Single Player mode and vice versa. I was wondering if anyone knew of a patch or fix that's out there that we could download which could fix this as we were all really excited to play through in coop, but it's looking like we might just have to give up.Here are some things you should know about Saving and Loading in Multiplayer: When a game is saved in Multiplayer Mode, it will be stored in a folder in your System Shock 2 Directory and can only be loaded in Multiplayer Mode from a unique save selection screen. Reloading saves once again did nothing and after spending hours just trying to get it to work, we decided to give up.
When it was time to return to that area, we were now stuck in that area and once again couldn't use the bulkhead switch. We all downloaded SS2tool, made a new game and made our way back to that part and finally made it through the bulkhead.
Tried reloading an earlier save however we encountered the same problem. We were exploring the first area before deciding to move onto the next area, and after putting in the power core, we couldn't use the bulkhead switch to transition to the next level. Started out great, everyone made it through the tutorial just fine and we loaded into the Von Braun. Recently got a few friends together to play through the game in 4 player coop. So i know that the multiplayer in this game is and always has been a buggy mess, but was wondering if anyone knew of a fix out there if there even is one.
